We are currently living in an era where every country is gradually advancing toward modernity, becoming increasingly industrialized. This rapid industrialization and human-driven modernization have led to significant changes in the environment. One of the most critical consequences is global warming. The rising global temperatures have led to an increase in sea levels, causing coastal areas to be submerged. Scientists are working diligently to uncover the reasons behind this temperature rise and its implications.
Humans are one of the primary contributors to the increase in global warming. The extensive use of fossil fuels and natural phenomena like El Niño in industries and various fields has significantly contributed to the rise in global temperatures. Despite numerous studies conducted by scientists, the issue persists. Recent research has revealed the presence of a unique layer or "cover" over the ocean, shedding new light on this complex problem. This low cloud cover is rapidly decreasing while also increasing in height, which could lead to various problems in the future.
Albedo refers to the process by which the heat from the sun's rays is scattered and reflected back into space in the form of small waves. This prevents the Earth's atmosphere from retaining excessive heat. Recently, it has been observed that the Earth's albedo has decreased significantly, particularly in low cloud cover. Last year, a record decrease was noted, with a significant reduction occurring over the North Atlantic Ocean.
However, the decrease in low cloud cover from one year to the next appears to remain consistent. Explaining why this is happening remains a challenge.
